A high-quality office coffee maker is a must. The current coffee maker leaves a lot to be desired. In an effort to convince the company to get a decent one, I did the research and created this post.
- Works well in high volume situations
- Makes Good Coffee
- A carafe that pours well
- Easily Replaceable Carafe
Why an easily replaceable carafe? With many people using it there is a better chance the carafe may get broken and it should be easy to find a good replacement.
Interesting but not Required Features
Built-in Grinder — This is definitely going to be more expensive but if we could find a coffee brewer with a built-in grinder at a good price, that would be fantastic
Scheduled or delayed start — As an office coffee maker, we have little interest in scheduling coffee to be made in the future. This coffee maker only needs a “start now” button
Since 1968 Technivorm has been making some of, if not the, best drip coffee makers around. They have several styles including glass carafes, thermal carafes, a single cup, and professional models.
This is pretty much as high end as it gets for coffee makers.

Breville Coffee Makers
The Prescision Brewer by Breville is on the SCAA list. It is available in both a glass carafe and thermal carafe.
Yes Breville will be more expensive but there is quite a bit of quality in their products. The Precision Brewer will make up to 60 ounces in a batch and has six preset modes: Gold, Fast, Strong, Iced, Cold Brew and My Brew.
The list price is around $279 for the glass carafe and $20 more for the thermal at $299.
Solid construction and excellent pour over or cold brew coffee every time.

To the person who stole my Fitbit, let’s keep it up. We had a great July, now is not the time to lose momentum.
